Montalto Pennon Hill Pinot Noir (2020) –
Red currants, blueberry, sour cherry, cranberry and dried strawberry combine with florals, dried herbs, spice, and earthy forest-floor qualities. An approachable pinot with excellent regional expression.
Ten Minutes By Tractor – 10X Pinot Noir (2020) –
Approachable and pretty, it’s round and red-fruited through the mid palate, every bit the classic, generous Mornington Pinot, yet with subtle mushroom nuances and a flutter of compact, but real tannins.
Quealy Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir (2019) –
A big sweet Pinot Noir, generous middle palate and excellent length. Aromatics of cherry, rhubarb and purple flowers; the palate walks the fine line between red and dark fruits, silky tannin, slippery mouthfeel.
Yabby Lake Red Claw Pinot Noir (2020) –
Fragrant aromas highlighted by cherry and red berry fruits, complemented by a touch of spice and underlying French oak. The long, silky palate has lovely elegance, a plush, velvety texture and a finely poised finish.
Paringa Estate Peninsula Pinot Noir (2020) –
This wine combines the darker fruit characters from the warmer sites, with bright cherry notes, and fine acid from the cooler vineyards. The palate is bursting with bright cherry flavours, vibrant acid and fine tannins.
Kerri Greens Murra Pinot Noir (2020) –
Stalky and spicy, fresh red fruits, fine level of rosy perfume. It’s medium-bodied, tight and crunchy, with a distinct ‘mineral’ feel to it, along with cool acidity, sharp focus, and a fine slate-y tannin. Finish is sappy and fresh-fruited, long and clean. It feels vital and drinks beautifully.
